The Art of Contrast

Contrast sits at the centre of each design, where opposing elements come together to feel balanced and considered. Delicate curves are set against stronger lines, muted tones are paired with richer colour, and smooth finishes meet textured surfaces.

In Bolla, bold, sculptural forms are softened by the natural depth of the abalone shell and mother of pearl. The defined circular shapes create a sense of structure, while the iridescent centre introduces movement and variation, shifting between tones as it catches the light.

This contrast between form and surface gives each piece a strong yet fluid presence. Earrings take on a bubble-like form, with rounded shapes that feel fluid and light, balancing playfulness with a defined silhouette.

This balance continues through Marine, where baroque pearls are paired with twinkling topaz. The organic surface of the pearl sits alongside the precision of the stones, creating a contrast between softness and clarity.

Small starfish and shell details add a delicate and defined touch. Subtle variations in colour and shape allow each piece to feel individual, while still maintaining a refined finish.

In Eva, contrast is expressed through proportion and detail. A clean, minimal stud sits against a more fluid drop element, creating a balance between structure and movement. The combination of smooth metal and iridescent abalone introduces a further contrast in texture, allowing the piece to feel both refined and softly expressive. Complimented by the delicate sparkle of topaz.

Farfalla introduces contrast through both tone and form. The clean brightness of silver sits against the delicate butterfly silhouette, while stones such as garnet, citrine and amethyst add moments of colour. The richness of these tones contrasts with the lightness of the form, while fine detailing within the wings adds subtle texture, allowing the piece to catch the light with a soft, refined finish.

Across each design, contrast is used to create harmony. Differences in tone, texture and form come together naturally.

Designed to be worn and layered, each piece brings a subtle balance of contrast to everyday dressing.
